Mother Of Rivers State Commissioner Of Information And Communication, Kidnapped

The mother of the Commissioner, Madam Patience Tam-George was abducted by gunmen on her way from church at George-ama in Okrika local government area, of the state.
Kidnappers of the Commissioners mother demanded the sum of N30 million and later reduced it to N25 million. This was disclosed by one of her son Godknows Tam George who served as a Special Adviser on NDDC Affairs under the Amaechi government.
Accordingording to him, his mother’s kidnap is not politically motivated as alleged by his brother, Austin Tam-George. He said the abduction is purely a criminal act and has nothing to do with politics. The explanation of Godknows is at variance with opinion canvassed by Austin who said his mother’s kidnap was sponsored and executed by a rival Political party.
Godknows however has appealed to the kidnappers to free their 85 years old mother considering her health condition and that she had been medications since she was kidnapped six days ago.
