BREAKING: Former Borno Governor Sheriff Named New PDP Chairman

The former Governor of Borno State, Ali Sheriff, has been named as the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Reliable Sources said that Mr. Sheriff, who will be replacing Adamu Mu’azu, will only be Chairman for the remaining tenure of his predecessor. These same sources also confirm that it was other PDP governors who supported Mr. Sheriff’s ascent to Chairman.

The PDP Spokesman, Olisa Metuh, also informed the media that there was unanimous approval of Mr. Sheriff by all PDP organs. He added that the decision would be communicated to the PDP Board of Trustees and the National Executive Committee for ratification.
