The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has delivered it’s final ruling on the disputed Governorship election in Taraba state. The five-member panel led by Justice Abdul Aboki ruled in favor of the candidate of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku of the People’s Democratic Party.

The Court of Appeal ruled that Governor Ishaku’s nomination by PDP could not be questioned by a non-member of the PDP, hereby stating that his nomination complied with section 85 of the electoral act.
The Appeal Court upheld Governor Ishaku’s election and as well upheld his 3 grounds of appeal against the cross-appeal filed by Aisha Alhassan, candidate of the All Progressive Congress who prayed the Court to cancel the election.
