Ooni's Coronation: Buhari, 25 Govs to Attend Presentation of Staff of Office Monday

As Ile-ife waits expectantly for the presentation of staff of office to their monarch, the Ooni of Ife, Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, monday, the monarch has disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari, his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo, and the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, are expected to grace the occasion.

Accordingly, monday has been declared a public holiday in Ife to allow residents and inhabitants of the town participate fully in the programme.Equally expected at the event, according to the Ooni during a press conference held at his palace, are National Assembly members and about 25 governors drawn from four geopolitical zones of the country.

Also, no fewer than 1,000 security personnel have been deployed to provide full and adequate security at the event.Speaking through the chairman, Publicity Committee of the inauguration of the Ooni, Mr. Biyi Odunlade, the monarch affirmed that the event would be colourful as interesting programmes had been designed for the historic day. Consequently, in his speech at the occasion,the eldest brother of the monarch, Prince Adegboyega Ogunwusi, stated that the new monarch has one of the best furniture factory concept in London,-EH furniture factory and that he would immediately move the factory down to Ife and will be producing doors,chairs,windows and so on.

According to him, “The beauty of the factory is that it is perfect for the export market and this can take out like 2,000 Ife indigenes from the unemployment market".

He added that the Ooni had already opened discussion with Osun State Government to set up a football academy and have 16 clubs in Ife which he said would take out like 1,000 youths of Ife off the street automatically. “ In another six months, we will be rock solid as the owner of BetaNija-the fastest growing sports gaming company in Nigeria owned by one of my best friends and a brother, Ayo Ojuroye.

“I donated 50 transformers when I was a prince. I will buy another 50 within the next 30 days to further enhance distribution. With this, small scale businesses will naturally spring up- pepper grinders, welders,tailors e.t.c.” “Providentially, I know the core investor and chairman of Ibadan distribution, Mr. Tunde Ayeni. I have engaged him and his team to make this a reality and work has commenced personally, earnestly. Our naked eyes will see this transformation by the special grace of God,” he said.

Also, the Chairman of Ife Central, Dr. Taiwo Olaiya, hinted that there would be holiday for all residents of the town for their full participation in the programme
