The Emir of Keffi, in Nassarawa State, HRH Alhaji Muhammad Chindo Yamusa II is dead.The Galadima of Keffi, Abdul Usman, confirmed this at a news conference in Keffi Local Government Area of the state.
The Galadima, who is also the emir’s cousin, said the late monarch, who took ill briefly, died in the early hours of Friday in his palace in Keffi.
“Our emir, the promoter of peace and culture died this morning after a brief illness.“
His death is heartbreaking, painful but God gives life and takes it at will.“
The emir had contributed a lot to the development of not only Keffi, but to the development of Nasarawa State and the entire country while alive,” he said.
The Emir had been on the throne since 1978.
He was later buried today after the juma'at prayers according to islamic rites.
