Over the years, black friday has been known to be a day set aside for cheap (awoof) shopping. Prices of electronics, clohings, groceries , utensils etc are usually slashed to as low as 90% off Lucky shoppers and fast fingers tend to get the best of the deals before the stores run out of stock...... And because it lasts 24hrs, the malls as well as the shopping sites are usually jammed which makes it more fun.
These days, black fridays is just a shadow of what it used to be . Shopping sites inflate prices of items few weeks before the 'DEAL DEY' and slash it back to its normal price(s) on black friday as well as onrealistic items put up just to lure people to view the site
In Nigeria, Black Fridays are like saying ''Santa Clause Is Coming To Town... '' and guess what?..... he never comes!.. lol.
Awareness of the most anticipated Black Friday had been made and I was waiting on this day to purchase my dream phone, only for me to get on the site and what did I see? the phone is still same price as what I saw there three months ago! and there was a 50% off label put on the phone. How do you explain that situation? Disappointing!
I got some text messages on my phone advertising Black Friday deals, with some even making juicy offers of up to 70% discount. I have been rummaging through lots of these Naija online stores just to get my dream phone, but i'm yet to get one.
Lets hope i actually get a 'Black Friday' Deal....I'll keep you guys posted! let me continue my shopping
